easter sunday

Happy Easter! I hope your day was filled with love, laughter, good people, and some chocolate bunnies.

This morning I went to church and then a midday brunch with some friends. We enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather and spent some time outside.

This was what I wore today:
The kids choir came out on the stage and sang a song at church. It was THE most adorable thing ever!

Hope you had a great holiday!

friday's fancies - pretty in pastels

This week's Friday's Fancies theme with long distance loving is pretty in pastels. This light yellow lace dress is classic and pretty, and goes well with stack of pastel bangles. The bright pink shoes add even more color!

lilly dresses for easter

I'd love to wear a Lilly Pulitzer dress for Easter, if my bank account currently allowed - the new dresses are so adorable! Instead I'll probably wear this striped dress, this pink one, or this red one on Sunday. But here are some Lilly choices I'd consider:

Antonia Dress - this one is my FAVORITE and I loveeee the bow :)

And some bracelets from Bauble Bar and t+j designs that would add a fabulous touch to the dresses:

take me to the beach

All I want to do right now is be at the beach, toes in the sand, the warm sun on my face. But alas, I am nowhere near a beach, it is almost midnight, and I have a lot of homework to do.

However, the weather forecast says it should get up to 70 this weekend for Easter :) YEAH! That will feel like a heatwave compared to the chilly winter. Even though there won't be a beach nearby, you know I will trade in boots and flats in favor of sandals! (Which reminds me, I should probably get a pedicure....)

Happy Wednesday!

neon and navy

Haha, what am I doing with my wrist?
Chaser tank (similar) | Vivid Collection jacket | Hudson jeans | Louis Vuitton bag | Chanel sunglasses (similar) | J. Crew bracelets (similar link one) (similar orange one) | Juicy Couture ring | Henri Bendel earrings | Me Too ankle boots (similar pair)

I love the combination of navy and pink. The neon hue of the pink tank adds an extra dose of fun to the outfit, as do the accessories - like the butterfly ring and colorful bracelets. Classic cognac grounds the outfit, as seen with the ankle boots and the vintage Louis Vuitton bag my mom gave to me ages ago.

And I'm still wearing the Bendels earrings! Ahh, I've worn them almost every day. That's when you know you made a good wardrobe investment - when you just want to wear it every day. (And, with jewelry, you usually can.) This pair of skinnies are also another good investment. The style and wash makes the pair so versatile and I wear them all the time.

bow bracelets

There is something about adding a bow that makes an accessory so charming. Here are four bow bracelets I'm loving - the Kate Spade one is just dainty and darling with the pearl and small bow. The Vickers bow bracelets add classic patterns in versatile colors. And the simple black one works with anything! [Click the images to link back to the site.] :)

floral statement necklaces

After seeing a photo of this beautiful necklace (on a recent tumblr saturday), I've been on the hunt for the perfect floral necklace for spring. Here are a few similar ones that I'm looking at:

The red Kate Spade necklace is gorgeous! It is the most similar to the one I've found yet to the one in that photo.
I like this one from Etsy too - there are multiple colored flowers.

I keep coming back to look at this one from J. Crew Factory! The colors compliment each other well and are pretty versatile, in my opinion.
I think this one from Ruche might be my favorite, and it's only $17! The only thing is that it is sold out. :/ Maybe they'll restock soon?

Which one is your favorite? Do you like floral statement necklaces?

happy first day of SPRING!

Eeek! I've been waiting for this day for a long time. I LOVE SPRING! Almost as much as I love summer.

Now, if it would only feel like spring in Spokane...we've woken up to snow the past couple of days. :(

The snow melts throughout the morning....but still. Wearing shorts and sandals during spring break was amazing. I love love love spring/summer weather, and you can't beat being around everyone in happy moods when the sun is out.

My favorite day of the spring semester is the first really warm day. It will be sunny and around 70 degrees, which feels like a heatwave after a freezing, snowy winter. Everyone on campus spends maximum time outside; I even had a professor cancel class one year on the first warm day. There are so many outdoor recreational activities going on - capture the flag, frisbee, badminton, volleyball - anything we can do outside. One of the dorms in the middle of campus plays music. It is the best day of spring semester! Everyone is so happy. I can't wait for that day to happen!

And I cannot not mention spring fashion. Unlike a lot of other girls, I get much more excited for spring/summer fashion than fall/winter. I am so ready for sundresses, sandals, chino shorts, swimsuits, sunglasses, and incorporating all the fun trends (like neon!)

Yay for spring! Who's with me?!

You can't really see the earrings in the photo above so I added this photo below - I've worn these earrings almost every day since I got them! Finding a Bendels in Las Vegas was wonderful :) [Get the earrings here!]
Jenn and I got our nails done and then went to lunch before saying goodbye! It was a great spring break and always fun to see the bestie.

After having a TON of fun in Las Vegas, (see this outfit post, and this post or this post for pics!) I went to Denver for the second leg of the trip to visit my best friend Jenn. I went to Denver for my Spring Breaks last year and the year before as well! It was nice to catch up and slow down from the previous weekend.  We went up to Daniel's Park near Denver and took photos by the gorgeous view.

AND, Jenn went dark with her hair! Take a look:

vegas, according to my phone (tons of new pics!)

I posted some photos from my Vegas trip last week, but just uploaded the many photos I took on my phone! Most of them are from when we were out at night (so fun) because I didn't want to haul around my DSLR. Ahhh, I miss Vegas so much. I cannot WAIT to go back! Whenever that is...which I am hoping is soon. :D

First pic I took was at the airport - I was so thirsty and regretted not bringing a water bottle! Good thing Starbucks gives you free water....
Outside the Paris hotel:
Bathroom pic....haha
Inside the Paris hotel. Gorgeous!!! I loved the painted sky. It was light and didn't feel like nighttime. I want to go to the real Paris, so visiting the hotel was fun.
Sorry....not going to take a $2 peppermint in the bathroom.
We went to Stripburger and it was really yummy.
In our Gonzaga gear before the semi-final game!
Palm trees and 80 degrees. The life. (It was 75, but still - it was close).
The Chandelier Room at The Cosmopolitan. I so wanted to take one of the sparkly strands! But I didn't. It was so beautiful. And you know me, I love lots of sparkle.
They were measuring the length of their legs compared to their torsos....haha.
The Strip at night:
Hey, the Starbucks barista spelled my name right! This almost never happens since there are so many ways to spell Ally.
Forever 21 had this adorable pink french bulldog makeup case I could not resist getting it!

Spring Break was such a nice break for me. All of my midterm exams, mid-semester projects, and papers were due before break so I just got to relax and have fun. Spring Break was the perfect time for me to reflect on what I want in life, what I want to do after graduation, and spending time with some amazing Gonzaga people.
