My 11 Facts
1. I was born in the south, but mostly raised in the northwest. Most of my extended family lives either in the midwest or still in the south.
2. I am a very girly girl - I love anything purple, pink, glittery, etc.
3. I am currently on my college's dance team and have been dancing since I was 3 years old. Performing is one of my favorite things about dance team.
After our last practice of the 2011-2012 year |
4. I lived in Seattle for 15 years. I hate the rain. When it rains I always get, "Oh, you're from Seattle, you must love the rain!" NO. It's gloomy and depressing and ruins every good hair day. Get me to some sunshine.
5. I'm not much of a cook, but I'm trying to get better! Cooking meat scares me (I'm afraid I'll under cook it and make everyone sick) but I've gotten better. I'm slowly transitioning from baking from a box to baking from scratch. Seeing recipes on Pinterest is a good motivator!
6. I love exercise. I am a Zumba instructor. I also rock climb! I've been taking rock climbing classes for over a year and a half.
7. I plan on moving to Southern California after I graduate college. Anyone know of any job openings? Haha ;) .....but really
8. Studying abroad in Italy last summer was one of the best things I've ever done. Seeing how other people live their lives in different cultures is so fascinating. I've definitely caught the "travel bug" and hope my life is filled with future travels!

9. My all-time favorite candy has always been Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
10. Going to a restaurant and seeing a sandwich with avocado instantly makes it more appealing.
11. I was a pumpkin for Halloween five years in a row, from age 2-6. I would refuse to be anything else during those years.
Answers to Helen's Questions
1. What is something unique about you? I have a very detailed memory. Especially with outfits. I will often remember what I wore on a specific day, as well as what other people wore. Usually my stories - also very detailed - start with "So it was two winters ago, and I was wearing skinny jeans with my gold Sperrys and a purple sweater...."
2. What is your favorite commercial on TV right now? So many to choose from! I'm a PR major and take advertising classes, so I love talking about commercials. :) I'll narrow it down to a few (I know, I am totally geeking-out on this question). I think the BlackBerry commercial does a great job of showing why the non-touch keyboard is still relevant to their customers that use email a lot. And Reese's commercials do a great job and I always crave Reese's after seeing one. And, even though I'm not much of a fast food-eater, I think McDonald's has great ads lately. Those are just a few I can think off the top of my head.
3. What is your worst habit? Slouching. I work on improving it daily! Also, I tend to get indecisive sometimes (which can definitely be seen on my multiple answers for these questions...)
4. What is your favorite boy band from the ninetys? Going to have to say N*SYNC. #byebyebye
5. What is the grossest thing you have ever eaten? When I was little I used to eat balonie and mayonnaise sandwiches on white bread. Ew! I didn't think it was gross then, but I would NEVER eat that now.
6. If someone made a movie about your life, who would play you? I don't know, Leighton Meester?
7. What is your favorite activity to pass the time? Blogging/reading blogs, exercising, reading, relaxing in the sun, watching TV.
8. What do your favorite shoes look like? My gold Sperry boat shoes.
9. What is the weirdest thing you have ever done while driving? Well my car was parked, but one time I was reading The Hunger Games on my Kindle at the gym and it was at a really good part, so when I got to my car I sat there for at least a solid half-hour reading.
10. What is your biggest pet peeve? Getting interrupted or getting talked-over when I'm saying something.
11. What is something you are truly proud of? My inner strength, self-motivation, and positivity during difficult times.
