friday's fancies: color crush

This week's Friday's Fancies theme with Long Distance Loving is color crush. I've been loving all the beautiful emerald green clothing I've been seeing in the store windows in Florence and am excited to incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year into my outfits this fall and winter. I love the two dresses below, and the outfit from the Twin-Set lookbook!

friday's fancies - serious sunnies

This week's Friday's Fancies theme with Long Distance Loving is Serious Sunnies. I totally adore the subtle butterfly shaped sunglasses. This week's outfit is a little more bohemian than I'd usually wear, I just love the bright red maxi!

maxi dress

Dress: New Look (London) Shoes: Steve Madden Earrings: Forever 21 Sunglasses: American Eagle

I feel like a hippie child today! I got this lovely maxi dress on sale in London for only ten pounds. I love the color and the small, floral pattern and how it  matches the beaded wedges. I complemented the outfit with feather earrings to further make it look hippie-fabulous ;) It was great to wear to the seniors' graduation today - a conservative length (cinched at the waist, of course), but also breezy enough in the heat.

"digital" florals

Shorts: Nasty Gal Tank, bracelets, earrings: Nordstrom Sandals: my mom's closet Sunglasses: American Eagle

It was pretty warm again today, so I pulled out these floral shorts again - this time without the tights and boots! I love warm weather. "Digital" florals have been on the fashion-radar for a some time now and the trend has exploded this spring.

It has taken me a little while to warm up to the digital floral trend, seeing as some patterns remind me of the curtains from my old house in the '90s. They're not as bad as I originally thought, though. I have found some great pieces that are updated and more modern! Below are a few digital floral items to try out if you like the trend. (I think the skirt is gorgeous!)

Do you like the digital florals trend? Is it a trend to stay, or should it have stayed in the past all along? Would you wear any of the pieces above? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
