LBD in monaco

Last weekend we went to the French Riviera and explored Nice, Monaco, Cannes, and Eze. It was my favorite trip so far! I wore this outfit in Monaco and kept referencing Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl while we were there. If you watched GG seasons 5-6 with the Prince you know what I'm talking about ;) 

I thought a classic LBD would be great for walking around Monaco and going to the Monte Carlo Casino. I didn't have heels with me so I wore my Capri sandals instead - though I think a pair of heels would have stepped the outfit up a notch.

This is my first time blogging from my new laptop! The charger for my old one broke so I was able to just swap the old one for the new one (thank you, insurance). I haven't blogged in over a week and have had minimal access to a computer for just as long. I recently went to a UCA/UDA college spirit camp (so fun) and then celebrated an early birthday with my parents. Now I'm back at school ready to kick off my senior year!

Today I met with the people who I will be working with for my internship this summer! It was exciting to learn what I will be helping out with. I wore a semi-dressed up outfit, and whipped out my favorite pair of heels. I softened all of the black and white with a punchy pink cardigan and accessories. Apparently, since I'll be working with/at/near summer camps, I don't need to dress up every day. "Camp" clothes are all I really need to wear, except for a few events. So while I don't get an excuse to go shopping for business-casual clothes, I get to wear my favorite comfy shorts and sandals. Not a bad tradeoff for the summer.

It's been a while since I've done an outfit post! And, other than yesterday, it's been a while since I've posted at all. I'm sorry for the delay! The new semester just started so I've been extremely busy. I also created a Tumblr recently, so that's been taking up some of my blogging time. :)

I wore this outfit to church this morning. It has been a while since I've been to church so it was nice to go. There is a church near campus that I've been wanting to try and I ended up liking it a lot! The people there are nice too, and there are a lot of college students so it feels like a good community for me.

I love dressing up, so I was excited to get an excuse (like I even need one...) to wear a dress! I paired it with patterned tights and boots, with some gold sparkly accessories to make the dark color scheme a little less dreary!

Remember the Sperry boots I wrote about a little while back? Turns out that I ended up getting them! :)

I originally was wearing grey suede boots with this, but it didn't look right. Then I tried black flats and silver flats, and it still didn't look right. Then I tried these beautiful new boots of mine, and I think they work! Even though it isn't raining or snowing today I think I'll still wear these. They're the only tall black boots I have! I still have a few minutes to decide if rain boots on a sunny day is too ridiculous...maybe I'll try the flats again. (Indecisive, much?)
