I love the combination of navy and pink. The neon hue of the pink tank adds an extra dose of fun to the outfit, as do the accessories - like the butterfly ring and colorful bracelets. Classic cognac grounds the outfit, as seen with the ankle boots and the vintage Louis Vuitton bag my mom gave to me ages ago.

And I'm still wearing the Bendels earrings! Ahh, I've worn them almost every day. That's when you know you made a good wardrobe investment - when you just want to wear it every day. (And, with jewelry, you usually can.) This pair of skinnies are also another good investment. The style and wash makes the pair so versatile and I wear them all the time.

friday's fancies - pretty in plaid [and a day late!]

I totally spaced on Friday's Fancies yesterday. Yesterday was an interesting day - I had gone to a meeting at 7am (running on less than 5 hours of sleep...) and then came home and had the longest nap ever. I slept for three hours! When I woke up it felt like a different day. Finals are starting to get to me...Anyways, this week's theme with long distance loving is Pretty in Plaid. Here is my outfit:

Today I wore my olive green striped tshirt with skinnies, ankle boots, and striped socks peeking out in between! I continued to play up the pink from the socks with my earrings and nails. The pink really breathed some fresh air into the neutrals in the rest of the outfit.

Time to go change! Can't wear heels to Zumba. This is the last class I'm teaching till next semester! I'm going to miss it over the Christmas break, however, it will be nice to have some extra time to come up with some new routines!

Since I'm a GIF ambassador, I am answering questions at a meeting tonight for next year's students studying abroad. What is more appropriate than wearing a few pieces I got while I was in Italy?! The tank, bandeau, and scarf I'm wearing are from shops in Florence. :)

To go with the neutrals of the tank and scarf, I wore chocolate-colored skinny jeans with brown ankle boots, and a hot pink cardigan for some color. 

I miss Italy (and the shopping) so much...

Darn the sun for going down before 4pm. I blame winter, not my decision of taking an outfit photo later in the day. The last couple of outfit pics don't have the best lighting. I've been so busy with finals that I hardly have any time to take photos of my outfits! Finals...blahh.

This morning a few friends and I went to Chaps, a restaurant in Spokane that a friend of mine works at. Since she is studying abroad next semester, today was her last day so we went there to visit her at work and have breakfast. And get free candy canes. It was a great start to a Saturday morning.

Today I paired a creamy white tank and skirt with fall flower tights and boots. I feel like it is appropriate for Thanksgiving dinner with my family.

There is a lot of cooking going on at my house today! Since my extended family lives far across the country, my parents, brother, and I have just gone out to a nice dinner for the past few years. The house smells of turkey and mashed potatoes.

A friend told me about this brownie recipe that sounds amazing. I might give it shot today for dessert!

Today I decided to wear a baggy tee with skinnies for comfort to study at a coffee shop. It's actually my first blog post away from my desk at home! I am bedazzled to the max with the butterfly on my shirt, stack of bracelets, and glittery eyeliner (though you probably can't see the eyeliner in the photo.)

I just ate a mini pulled pork panini with provalone and shared a peanut butter cookie with my friends. Now it's time to get back to actual work and study!

I'm wearing my new jeans today! I got them in the juniors section of  Nordstrom and am really happy with them so far. They were relatively cheap ($54) compared to my designer jeans and are super comfortable. I also really like the dark wash - I like to use dark, skinny jeans as a clean platform for the rest of my outfit.

I also have a navy jacket with a black tank on. I'm just breaking the fashion "rules" left and right! Haha. I wasn't really planning to do that; it just sort of came together.

You know those days in class where you're either really bored or really into the discussion? Today was an into-the-discussion day. I love when I enjoy class. It makes me feel studious and I usually am very productive. It's a good day. :)

This shirt is new! I got it this weekend with my parents. We took a nice big trip to Nordstrom (one of my favorite stores), so there will probably be more outfit posts in the near future with new clothes from Nordstrom.

I like the color-blocking of the shirt and how the colors reflect the leaves of the changing trees outside. Also, adding a little height with boots always pulls an outfit together.
