nautical charms for your sperrys

It is no secret that I love my Sperrys. I sadly had to say goodbye to my black Sperry rain boots in Italy last month. After two years of wearing them in the Seattle rain, around my college campus, and through the cobblestone streets of Europe, I eventually had to let them go. Luckily I still have four pairs of boat shoes, though - one of which I've had for 10 years and is still in great shape!
While browsing the Sperry website, I noticed that there are charms for your boat shoes! You can personalize your Sperrys with your initial (great if your friends have the same pair as you - I know quite a few people with the traditional brown), or choose from other fun charms. I like the pink flamingo because, yes, it's pink, and also because it reminds me of summer. (Summer needs to be year-round, in my opinion). There are other sea-inspired charms like a little sailboat, anchor, starfish, or seahorse.
These charms would be a fun way to discreetly add some summer to your wardrobe, don't you think? I mean, I wear my Sperrys all year round, even in the winter... ;)

farmer's market

Harding Lane hat | J. Crew t-shirt (similar) | Rock & Republic shorts | Sperry boat shoes | Michael Kors watch | Swank bracelets | Nordstrom earrings

I went to the Farmer's Market with my dad yesterday and picked up this lovely bouquet of flowers for only $5! We also got some local veggies and chocolate, so it was a win all around. This casual ensemble was a great, comfortable outfit to wear walking around outside. My happy shark hat - that's what I call it :) - also shaded my eyes so I didn't even need sunglasses.

I also saw We're The Millers, did some work for my new job, and a lot of relaxing these past two days. What did you do this weekend?

seeing the sun

Sunglasses, hoodie: H&M Shorts: Rock & Republic Bracelets: ASOS Shoes: Sperry

This outfit isn't particularly interesting, but I was so excited to be wearing shorts that I had to post it! Being in  Denver, the altitude makes the sun feel a little warmer. I spent a very relaxing morning laying out and reading The Hunger Games book 2 (anyone else obsessed with the series?). I might look a little out of place wearing shorts in March, but it is currently snowing in Spokane so I need to get my fix before I go back to school. I restrained myself from wearing flip flops and wore my Sperrys to not look too out of place.

Also, I got this jacket at H&M, but I just realized it looks like an American Apparel knockoff. Oops? Haha. Whatever, I like the color. It goes nicely with the tribal bracelets! It is a perfect example of a hoodie I'd throw on in the summer when it gets chilly at night. I can not WAIT for summer weather! Who's with me on that one?!
