What a crazy week. I feel drained in pretty much every way possible, but a new scarf find from H&M (for only $5!), a few iced mochas, and some good friends helped me through it. Now I'm going to enjoy the break from classes, get a massage, and read a book tonight. Tomorrow I am beyond incredibly excited for the series finale of Gossip Girl (ahhh!!!!) and finally do some Christmas shopping.

Today's outfit is actually from the weekend as well! I wore this on the way back from the beautiful cabin in the mountains last weekend. When I think snow, I just want to bundle up in something cozy. Casual knits like this long sleeved t-shirt and hooded sweater vest do just that. I normally save my lululemon leggings for exercise, but since they wick away moisture it helps to keep me (kind of?) dry in the snow. Rain boots also kept me dry! Thick, fuzzy socks are a must underneath rain boots. Plus, no one needs to see crazy socks underneath! (The other day I wore Valentine's Day socks underneath my boots - when I got home and took them off my roommates kept making jokes about them being the wrong holiday. Haha!)

This weekend I went to Schweitzer in Northern Idaho with a few friends. We stayed at my friend's cabin and  had a relaxing day watching the snow fall outside. While I'm not the (biggest) fan of snow, I loved having it in the perfect setting - on a mountain! That makes sense, right?

And we also had a little visit from some deer right as I was taking my outfit photos! How cute.

most likely to become a...zumba teacher

Today I am going to a Zumba instructor training course! I've been taking Zumba classes for about two years, and I love it. Sometimes I "lead" a few Zumba songs at dance team practice for warm-up, and it is a lot of fun. The photo above is from our dance team end of the year party last year - we all got fun "most likely to be" notes. Little did we know, I would actually go and do that!

The only thing I am worried about is driving to the course. It is an hour and a half away and it's supposed to snow. My car is not a snow car, and the road down there goes in and out of cell service. So...I guess we'll see what happens! Wish me luck!

International Traveler

Today I'm on the final leg of my travels this weekend, and currently sitting in the Alaska Board Lounge.

It started Friday with a 15-hour bus/train ride to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Dance Team got invited to perform at the Gonzaga vs. Hawaii mens basketball BC Classic game, and it was great. We performed at Rogers Arena (where the Canucks play!) and did two dances. The audience seemed to enjoy it, and on the way out we got plenty of high-fives, "good jobs," and got asked to take photos with lots of people. Canada seemed to like us!

The next morning it was back on the bus all day until about 3:30, where we switched to a train back to school. About 12 hours later, I was on my way to the airport to fly home for Thanksgiving.

When we got back to Spokane, there was snow everywhere! According to a few sources (students), it was 9 degrees last Saturday. Glad I missed that! This is what my car looked like:

It has been a fun but long weekend and I'm ready to relax!
