friday's fancies - shoes, shoes, shoes

This week's Friday's Fancies theme with long distance loving is shoes, shoes, shoes. I'm loving these shoe styles for spring :) and crafted a spring pastel outfit around a fabulous pair of Miu Miu pumps below.

I'm reaaaally thinking I might get that Vince Camuto bag soon! It's on my list and I have a gift card....hmm ;) we'll see. And as much as I'd like those pink Miu Miu pumps to be on the shopping list, they definitely aren't due to the price, haha!

My camera is still broken, so I've been switching between phones and my old point-and-shoot to take photos lately. This photo taken with a friend's iPhone seems to be pretty good though! The house we were at was in a gorgeous area, and would've been a prime place for photo-taking. I need to get my Nikon fixed!

Anyways. I got this dress from H&M and have already worn it twice! I like using navy as a neutral so the pastels in the rest of the outfit stand out. I have a feeling this dress was a good investment and will be worn a lot this summer!

I am wearing pastels in three different ways today: a baggy, lavender Michael Stars t-shirt, ballet pink skinny jeans, and "Tiffany blue" nail polish. I even wore my Tiffany bracelets to go with the nail polish today :)

This shirt is so comfortable, and the color is very subtle. I really like it, except I think the sleeves could be a little shorter or less baggy. I like combining the subtle shirt with the bright, pastel jeans. It is a good outfit to wear for studying, which I've been doing all day. I'm taking a quick break to post this, then back to research and reading and a bunch of other stuff I'd rather not be doing on a sunny day. Finals are coming up and I feel like everything else is on the back burner, including blogging. I'm sorry I haven't been posting every day! School is my first priority and as much as I love to post daily, I haven't had the time. Don't worry, though. I'll be back in full swing soon!

Also - is it just me, or does my hair look really short today?!

pastels vs. neon

Neon has been huge lately. Everywhere from simple items to dressier pieces to activewear has been hit by the neon trend.

This spring, pastels are making a comeback.

Pastels have never gone out of style, but the classic spring shades are beginning to outshine their loud-colored counterparts. I even saw a light pink car outside of Safeway! With Easter coming up this Sunday, I only thought it would be appropriate to showcase some fashionable items that are heading headfirst into pastels!
