insta-lately

My first time ever having a donut from Dunkin Donuts...it was filled with brownie batter. So worth it. So delicious.
Airport Starbucks & my bright pink passport case
A few of you weighed in on which shade of blue I should paint my nails for my Seahawks Super Bowl pride. I chose the blue Butter shade and layered a silver Revlon sparkle topcoat to make it extra festive.
Obligatory Capitol Building photo when I first got to DC ;) it looked beautiful covered in a blanket of snow.
The perfect day for my first day back: spending it on M Street, getting some Georgetown Cupcakes and doing a little shopping!
That day's stack (Laurenly ring, Michael Kors watch, J. Crew yellow bracelet and Nordstrom gold arrow bracelet).
Hot pink nails with a glittery leopard bag!

chocolate festival in perugia, italy

Last weekend we had a day trip to Perugia for the annual Eurochocolate Festival. It was a gorgeous, warm day and the city of Perugia was beautiful. After eating a decent amount of chocolate, when I got home I went straight to the kitchen and started eating lettuce out of the bag. I needed nutrients, okay?!

I also updated my about page; go check it out! I was in desperate need of an update. Now I explain what Sunny Sweetheart is, the name behind the blog, why I started this blog, and more.

Thanks for stopping by :)

little loves this week

Little loves this week:

Cadbury Milk Chocolate Bar
Creamy, chocolately, goodness. So so so good and the perfect study break snack. Worth every bite, worth being an exception of eating paleo....

Organic, cage-free eggs with sliced avocado and tomatoes
My lunch almost every day this week. Avocado on pretty much any food makes it taste 100x better.

My new peplum dress
YAY! I wrote about it/wore it yesterday. So happy I was able to go back to H&M and find it in my size!

Thai Dinner
My media law class went to a Thai food restaurant with our professor tonight. Not only was the food delicious, but the professor was so nice and bought us appetizers and dessert! It was a fun way to chat and get to know each other outside of class.

Weekend
It starts tomorrow. I. Am. So. Ready. For. The. Weekend. #FinalsAreUponUs

Took this photo right before I went into ice cream Heaven

Last night my friend Jenn and I got these ice cream sandwiches from Cold Stone. I saw them in the freezer case next to the cakes, and apparently you can buy them separately! So we each got one to bring home and eat while watching Footloose. (I really liked that movie, by the way. I had heard both good and bad reviews so I wanted to see it.)

Anyways, these are so. darn. good.

I recommend getting one if you stop by Cold Stone - we got the kind that had the chocolate chips cookies with cake batter ice cream covered in sprinkles. Yeah, I think I'll pass on making any of the St. Patrick's Day recipes I wrote about yesterday because I'm still in a sugar coma from last night. And I need to go to the gym now.

Happy Friday!

$200 Brownies

Last weekend I made the $200 brownies found on Tasty Kitchen! They were delicious and super easy to make.

All you need is brownie mix, oil, an egg (or however many the mix calls for), and Symphony bars.
The recipe calls for two boxes of brownie mix and three Symphony bars, but I only had one box of brownie mix on hand. The brownies weren't as thick, and I only needed two Symphony bars to layer across my 9x9in pan.

When they were ready, I took them out of the oven to cool, ran upstairs for less than 5 minutes, and when I came back down my family had already gotten into them!
I was going to take a picture of a tray of perfectly cut up brownies, but this is what I was stuck with.

Overall, they were yummy treats and I'm sure I'll make them again!
