photo diary: bellagio, lake como, italy

Lake Como is beautiful. I hadn't been to Northern Italy yet, and now I know why people love it so much! It was crazy looking at the map on our way up, being so close to the Switzerland border. After less than a week of being in Italy, I still feel pretty drained and don't think I've fully adjusted to the time. Once we came up to the rolling hills, breathtaking views of the water, and the houses built around the lake, my excitement overshadowed my sleepiness. Some photos from the day:
I have a short outfit post from Lake Como on its way, as well as some more photos from Florence! The internet in our apartment has completely stopped working, and we've been trying for days to get it to work again (currently writing this from the hostel). Hopefully it'll be working soon so posting won't be as sporadic.

Thanks for reading :)

happy shark hat, windy drive

Hat: Tuckernuck Tank: H&M Shorts: Rock & Republic Shoes: Sperry Sunglasses: American Eagle

I got this cute Harding-Lane shark hat recently and was so excited when it came in the mail! It was sold out online in quite a few places so I was happy to find one in stock. I wore it in the car on the way to the lake house I went to this weekend and my friend and I stopped the car on the way - in the middle of nowhere - to take a photo. It was so windy! The not-very-scenic drive was worth it, though, when we got to the lake. It was a beautiful day:

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!

beach day

Beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene...
So, I forgot my camera, and all these pictures were taken on my BlackBerry Torch.

Today was so much fun! We got to go to beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho for the day. It was so relaxing - about 90 degrees, perfect sunny sky, and an open beach area. I LOVE the beach...like really. Any beach is basically my favorite place in the world. The feeling of standing in sand with waves crashing against your legs is so calming to me. I am loving summer's duration this year, but at the same time I'm getting ready for fall fashion. Spokane - keep up the warmer temps, please! I can wear my fall clothes later. :)

PS - I had a fantastic peanut butter frosted chocolate cupcake today. It was our dessert before lunch. And it was darn good, I tell ya.
