Brands I Love: Nasty Gal [plus a shopping guide!]

One brand that has been on my radar for the past eight months or so is Nasty Gal. The online retail shop carries vintage pieces as well as clothing, shoes, and accessories from contemporary designers. The pieces are fun and definitely add flair to an outfit! I have a pair of floral shorts from Nasty Gal that I love. [See a post with these shorts here.]

According to the site's about page, founder Sophia Amoruso began a vintage eBay shop in 2006 called Nasty Gal Vintage. The shop was such a success that Amoruso started what we know now as NastyGal.com!

Brands I Love: Tory Burch

I've been loving the brand Tory Burch for the past few years. I got my first Tory Burch tote for my birthday a few years back, and have worn it almost every day since! The durability of the bag plus the classic pattern made me venture out to find more Tory Burch clothes and accessories.

The Tory Burch website defines the company:

"Tory Burch is a luxury lifestyle brand defined by classic American sportswear with an 
eclectic sensibility and attainable price point. It embodies the personal style and spirit of its CEO and designer, Tory Burch. Recognizing a void in the market for a sophisticated aesthetic at an attainable price point, Tory wanted to create stylish yet wearable clothing and 
accessories for women of all ages."

The Reva flats are seen everywhere on college campuses, with their long-lasting comfort and almost endless supply of color and pattern options.

Brands I Love: Brandy Melville

When I was in Florence last summer a friend and I stumbled upon this boutique called Brandy Melville. Little did I know, it was about to become one of my all-time favorite stores.

Brandy Melville began in Italy and then arrived to the USA in 2008. The brand is opening up more stores worldwide. On the Amsterdam website, they describe the brand:

"Brandy Melville is well known for its Italian fashion origins in a stylish though effortless ways. The vibe of the line is effortless yet chic, with fabrics from soft cotton tees to angora sweaters, bringing out the best of bohemian grace."

The pieces are fashion-forward with a bohemian touch. The atmosphere at the Florence store felt friendly and beachy.

The closest Brandy Melville stores to me currently are in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and Newport Beach. There are also a few more locations, such as NYC and Hawaii.

My question is, how the heck did I find out about this fabulous store halfway around the world, when it has been in the same country as me for over three years?
